Greetings.Nong Shim instant noodles my be horrible for you, but they taste so good. I only have them as a treat every once in a blue moon, but, man, they are so good!
O.K., so many things have happened. I was just hired for a part time sales position at an electronic store. I don’t think I can say much about it except that the interviewing process was tedious at best. I guess this sort of thing works for them. Anyways, I got hired and I start training on Monday. It just feels good to have a job. Of course this is only temporary as I still plan on going to South Korea in the spring if all goes well.
In other news, one of my uncles has been in the hospital for over two weeks because he almost fell into a diabetic coma. He didn’t know he had diabetes. What makes it worse is that he has schizophrenia and is really incapable of taking care of himself with this disease (it’s how he got to this point in the first place). It’s been tough for all of us as it seems that if we were to say that he should be place in an institution and the reasons why, he would have to be told what we said. Of course, that will make him very upset. My mom thought it would be best to wait and see if he ends up in the hospital again after his release. Of course, this puts his health at stake.
On top of all this, I have been frantically working to finish up my TEFL course. Yes, I know I’ve been at it for a while, but so many things have been happening that I would have to postpone working on my assessments. I shooting to finish all of it by the end of this coming week.
In a nutshell, my life is an indie flick. I haven’t even scratched the surface of what has been going on lately.

Best online application experience - the Apple Store application

Just fill in some general info, type up a cover letter and send resume, and, finally, answer about 5 or 6 questions about the Apple products you use, why you want to work at the store, and your retail experience. That’s it.

Why can’t all online applications be this way?

“A Rainy Day In Venice” (via carlosivanhernandez)
My town my not look like Venice, but it does convey the mood right now.
It’s a rainy day today. It’s supposed to reach a high of 90 degrees and we are supposed to have thunderstorms. I would love to walk out in the rain or be at home snuggled up on the couch and watching the rain fall. However, I’m stuck in this office trying to make a dollar (out of fifteen cents…now Tupac is going to be stuck in my head for most of the day).

I woke up this morning and for the first time in weeks it was dark. Suddenly I could remember all of those spring mornings in Cali back when I was in primary school. I’d wake up at 7 a.m. The first thing I would do is look out the window, and it would be wonderfully gray, damp, and dark. My grandma would be in the kitchen making breakfast and the aroma of breakfast food would start my tummy to rumbling. Once I’d get up from bed and got dressed, I would go to the living room and watch “Sit and Be Fit” until breakfast was done, which usually consisted of rice, bacon, and eggs, or a slight burnt biscuit (grandma’s biscuits from scratch always came out perfect, but the Pillsbury stuff would always burn on the bottom) with a strip of bacon and scrambled eggs.
Soon, grandma and I would step out to walk to school, which was about a half a block away from our apartment. Hand in hand we’d walk in the rain. I loved it. I’d take deep breaths to inhale as much of the damp smell as I could. I loved puddles and so wanted to jump into each one I saw, but I knew Grandma wouldn’t want me get my clothes wet. Honestly, the walking in the rain to school would be the best part of the day for me.
Ahhh, memories.

It’s another Monday…

As soon as I stepped into the office, I got tired and sleepy. I wasn’n’t tired and sleepy before I stepped through that door.

It’s sunny. I’d rather roam around the park and downtown. I want to go down to my favorite cafe/restaraunt and get a 16 oz. hot bavarian mocha and take my sweet time drinking it.

I want to go into my favorite novelty shops and see what’s new.

I want to watch anime and True Blood again.

I want to do something other than be in this office. I try to look on the bright side and think of the pay check I’m getting at the end of the week. I try to feel great about having a job when so many do not. I really am grateful, but I have to be honest with myself.

I want to be somewhere else other than here.

Things may have worked out…

So I realized that I had to go file my taxes tomorrow, meaning I had to reschedule my meeting with my prof for a later date. Now, I am waiting to see if this works out. I hope so, because I won’t be able to meet with him any other time. This would also work in my favor, since it would give me more time to work on my assignment. I hope it works out *touch wood!*
