I don’t have a laundry list of comments about this episode. Just two things:
1. That… was really, really good. It had its moments of what the hell and some of the characters AGAIN had a 180 in personality (Tygra’s back to his snarky bastard self, Lion-O brooded half the time, etc.) but that was a pretty powerful story right there. If I was an less of a man, I would have cried. But I am all man. 100% man. And I will not cry at Thundercats.
2. FUCK YEAH PANTHRO
I have mentioned on this blog a few things about Thundercats before (the 80’s version). I didn’t know that the new series had started until I caught the end of the show yesterday. So, one could see how I could have been wondering “WTF! Where’s Panthro…Oh, snap! That nunchuck move was sick! Wait a minute…why doesn’t Lion-O know who Panthro is?” With that, I had to check out the series. I needed to see what was going on. Panthro was my favorite Thundercat, sp I needed to fill in the gaps. I saw the first episode tonight, and I liked it. I can see where this is going and I’m liking it…except Tygra is getting on my nerves with his personality. Comcast doesn’t have the second episode OnDemand so I’ll have to see it some other way, but I hope Tygra will grow on me. I like that they decided to revamp him so that he’s utilized more and stands out more; however, he rubs me the wrong way at times.
