So the past few weeks I’ve been working my tail off at gathering documents, and working on my EPIK application. Last week was hell because I found out that Pages changed the format of my EPIK application and so I had to go about town looking for a computer with Microsoft Word so that I can fill out the application in its proper format. I found out that the libraries in my city suck in that regard because they just have “Open Office” which jacked up the format as well. Finally I decided to go to my uni’s campus and track one of the personnel down who deals with the computers on campus and he logged me in so that I can work on the application. On top of all of this, I had to tend to my mom while she was cooped up in be after surgery (she still isn’t doing as well as she should be, but her body is very sensitive to medicines and is slow to heal), and because one of my referrers forgot to put their email address down on the letter, I had to rush all the way across the city to  meet her and get her to write her email address on the letter.

I was expecting to hear if I got an interview in two weeks time, since my rep sent the application to EPIK this past Monday, and not even in a week’s time I hear that I have an interview! I’m so excited. Now, I need to look up some info to prepare me for the interview.

As for my TEFL course, I still need to haul ass on that. I just started back working on it. All last week, I didn’t have time to do anything because I had to help Mom prepare for her surgery and then once she had it, she was very bad off.  She’s feeling a bit better now and she tries to give me the time I need each day to work on my coursework.
